Terry Havey

Terry HaveyHavey, Terence Patrick, 57, of Las Cruces, N.M., and formerly Chicago, Ill., died suddenly on Aug. 15, 2013. cherished son of Mary Anne Havey; (Nee Tucker) of Lake Forest, Ill., and Gerald T. Havey, MD (deceased); dear brother to Thomas of San Francisco; Maureen Havey (Edward Mcmillen) of Santa Fe; Michael (Jill) of Lake Forest and Brian Havey of Chicago; loving uncle to Lauren Havey of Greendale, Wis., and Ellen Havey of Lake Forest. Terry was born July 18, 1956, in Detroit. He graduated from Lake Forest High school and Northeastern Illinois University. prior to moving to Las Cruces to pursue a graduate degree at NMSU, Terry owned and operated an environmental remediation company in Chicago. Terry was a hard working and free-spirited individual who was willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He was an accomplished guitar player who enjoyed sharing his talents with others. While riding his bicycle, Terry was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Las Cruces and died of injuries the following day at University Medical Center of El Paso, Texas. Terry will be memorialized on the hero's wall of organ donors there. The family extends thanks to the two kind people who stopped to help him while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
